The Denver Architectural Foundation was pleased to tour the Trimble Office Building! Rick Petersen, Principal at OZ Architecture, and Vince Stellino, JE Dunn project manager, lead an exciting tour. The discussed the building design, new construction methods, and innovative technologies of the future. Trimble’s new Rockies campus will house existing employees, with space to accommodate up to 570 employees.
The expected completion is May 2013. JE Dunn Construction of Denver is the general contractor for the project and OZ Architecture designed the building.
Trimble engineers worldwide are working on cutting-edge global positioning system applications that no one could even imagine just a few years ago.
With more than 500 products, Trimble continues to lead the way in developing position-centric solutions to address some of the world’s most complex challenges.
Trimble technology can be found in consumer and commercial vehicles, construction equipment, farm machinery, computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and more.
Innovative applications include dispatching and managing fleets, surveying and building roads, monitoring and mapping earthquake damage, recording and synchronizing international financial transactions, and improving the efficiency of wireless communications networks.
Trimble is changing the way work is done by linking positioning to productivity. Since 1999 Trimble’s revenues have grown from approximately $270 million to over $1.6 billion in 2011.
Trimble’s mix of businesses has progressively moved away from a “box product” mentality towards a portfolio of products and solutions that enhance productivity.
As part of the project, Trimble’s broad range of Engineering and Construction (E&C) solutions will be used during construction of the new campus—from survey, site-prep, excavation and estimating to 3D design and Building Information Modeling (BIM), project management and construction layout.
Trimble’s Connected Site® solutions enable an integrated and seamless workflow to reduce rework and improve productivity on a construction jobsite. The building project is pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. To learn more, visit: http://newbuilding.trimble.com.
