An Evening of Elevation

September 26, 2025

About the event: Join us for an Evening of Elevation, a rooftop celebration in honor of Doors Open Denver and the spaces and skyline that define our city. Enjoy a night of music, local flavors, and panoramic views as the sun sets over the front range, celebrating the people and places that elevate daily life through design. Raise a glass to community, creativity, and the city we’re shaping together.
This special evening is presented by One River North

About the venue: One River North opened in 2024 as a mixed-use development in the River North Art District (RiNo), designed by MAD Architects in collaboration with Davis Partnership. The luxury residential building includes a canyon inspired by natural terrain carved into the 16-story glass facade, a vertical landscape for residents to wander as if hiking in the mountains. In the novel design and construction of One River North, MAD sought to reimagine urban living by integrating natural elements into modern architecture, to help foster community and strengthen residents’ connections to each other and the natural world.

The building features 187 rental units spread across 15 floors, along with a 9,000-square-foot ground-floor retail space that seamlessly blends into the surrounding landscape and streetscape. Exterior materials and plantings flow into the interior, reinforcing the connection between indoors and outdoors, blending architecture and nature in harmony.

About MAD Architects: MAD Architects, founded by Ma Yansong in 2004, is a global design practice with offices in Beijing, Los Angeles, and Rome. Celebrated for its organic, nature-infused aesthetic, MAD seeks to dissolve the boundaries between cityscape and landscape through projects like the Harbin Opera House, Quzhou Stadium, and the FENIX Museum of Migration in Rotterdam, and One River North in Denver. The firm embodies Ma’s “Shanshui City” philosophy—drawing from traditional Eastern concepts to create architecture that nourishes both the human spirit and the environment.
