About the event: Join us to go behind the scenes of Denver Zoo Lights, a cherished seasonal celebration that has brought joy to our community for 34 years. Shaughn Sinclair and the talented Public Events Team at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance will share about the fascinating history of Zoo Lights and how this year’s dazzling display was designed, from initial brainstorming to its stunning execution across 80 acres.

The team will delve into the creative process, overcoming design challenges, and how they bring their biggest ideas to life. A highlight of this year’s event is the debut of Small Wonders Down Under, an immersive experience that gives guests a bug’s-eye view of the new Down Under habitat.

About the Presenter: Shaughn Sinclair is a passionate and experienced leader in guest operations and entertainment, with a knack for creating unforgettable experiences. At the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, he’s been the driving force behind beloved events like Zoo Lights, Wild Fall, and other community favorites, helping generate revenue supporting DZCA’s mission, while bringing joy to countless visitors.

With his roots planted at Disney Parks and Resorts, Shaughn knows how to bring magic to life. He’s led teams for iconic events like the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival and Festival of Holidays, always focusing on intentional design, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences that last a lifetime. Whether it’s designing dazzling light shows or managing high-energy festivals, Shaughn loves turning big ideas into meaningful memories.
