About the event: Join us for a tour and a talk at Champagne Tiger, the newest restaurant housed inside the original Tom’s Diner building. After a tour of the restaurant, the current and former owners and the designer of the current space will share the story of this Colfax staple and the new direction the restaurant is taking.
About the building: Champagne Tiger is a high energy French American diner located on East Colfax Ave in the newly designated Lavender Hill District. Housed in what was once Tom’s Diner, then Tom’s Starlight, Champagne Tiger will serve dinner 5 nights a week and weekend brunch. Opening in September 2024, Champagne Tiger aims to continue the tradition of serving up joy and celebration for all within a space that’s been a Colfax staple since 1967.
About the tour guides: Chris Donato is the owner of Champagne Tiger and a veteran of the Frasca Hospitality Group, where he previously served as Brand Director for Pizzeria Locale.
Angie is a Mid Century Modern designer with Compliment Design. She works with clients from the very beginning when ideas and wishes are imaged all the way to the final touches. Her favorite genre is mid-century modern but she’s worked with all types of styles: farmhouse, Scandinavian, industrial, traditional, rustic, transitional, modern, glam, 70s, and luxe.
Accessibility: Champagne Tiger is fully ADA accessible and there will be chances for sitting during the talking portion of the event.
