About the tour: Step inside the Molly Brown House Museum to trace the evolution of home design, from ornate Victorian rooms to today’s open layouts, this tour reveals how architecture reflects shifting values, changing lifestyles, and the way we define home.

About the building: The Molly Brown House Museum was built by William Lang in 1889, it was restored in the 1970s to its 1910s opulence and tells the story of the life and times of Margaret Brown.

About the tour guide: Jay B. Homstad is the Director of Preservation Advocacy and Membership at Historic Denver and an instructor in the University of Colorado Denver’s Dana Crawford Preservation Program. A former banker turned preservationist, he draws on both professional experience and personal restoration work on his 1906 Montclair bungalow to advocate for places that shape community, memory, and meaning.

Accessibility: The first floor and basement level of the historic house museum are wheelchair accessible via a lift. The wheelchair must be able to fit on a 38″ x 52″ platform.

Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 14 days prior to the event.

Please note that DAF tours take place rain, snow or shine. If your tour includes an outdoor portion, please dress for the weather. DAF staff will contact all attendees directly should a tour be cancelled for any reason.
