About the Tour: Explore Denver’s 133-year-old iconic and beloved hotel. Learn about the hotel’s founder, its role in Denver history, its architect and architecture, V.I.P. guests, special traditions and more. You’ll visit dining and meeting venues, as well as a special themed guest room (pending availability). The tour will last approximately 1 hour, but may go over with questions.

About the Building: This nine-story downtown hotel occupies a right-triangular block. It holds a special place in the city’s literal and figurative heart. Outstanding features include a soaring 100-foot-high central atrium crowned by a stained-glass skylight in the Italian Renaissance style.

About the guide: Debra Faulkner has been the Brown Palace Historian and Archivist for over 16 years. Debra is a Metropolitan State University instructor and author of 10 books on Colorado history – two about the Brown Palace!

Accessibility: Stairs are required during one of the stops of this tour. Please let your guide and volunteer know upon arrival if you need a adjusted route to accommodate mobility devices.

Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 14 days prior to the event.

Please note that DAF tours take place rain, snow or shine. If your tour includes an outdoor portion, please dress for the weather. DAF staff will contact all attendees directly should a tour be cancelled for any reason.
