About the Tour: Come learn the history of all three train stations located in the same spot from 1880 to present. You will see places within Denver Union Station that are generally not available to the public, including viewing the different styles of hotel rooms now presently located in The Crawford Hotel within the station. You will learn the history of train transportation here in this location from 1870 to the present day with Amtrak and RTD. The tour will last approximately 1 hour, but may go over with questions.
About the Tour Guide: James Chappell is one of the historians at Denver Union Station. He has been associated with the facility since before it was reimagined into the present configuration in 2014. He has served in many capacities at Union Station, including serving as the last Porter at Union Station, providing tourist information for Visit Denver and being a host in the great hall.
Accessibility: The tour will have access to elevators and ADA ramps as the tour moves.
Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 14 days prior to the event.
Please note that DAF tours take place rain, snow or shine. If your tour includes an outdoor portion, please dress for the weather. DAF staff will contact all attendees directly should a tour be cancelled for any reason.
