About the Martin Museum Residence Art Collection
Still, Calder, Stella, Warhol, Flavin, Chamberlain, de Kooning …. some of America’s greatest artists are among those represented by major works in the collection of Sharon and Lanny Martin. Each work was specifically selected to take advantage of the extraordinary spaces in the Martin’s penthouse that was designed by Daniel Libeskind, directly across the plaza from the Libeskind designed Frederic C. Hamilton wing of the Denver Art Museum. Continuing the Martin’s original vision of merging great contemporary art and architecture, the collection has expanded over the years to include important recent works by Mary Corse, Pat Steir, Alex Katz, and others.
