Tour: Adaptive Reuse in Action at Stanley Marketplace – April 3
April 3, 2018
On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, we are touring Stanley Marketplace, one the Denver area’s exciting adaptive reuse sites, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. During the 90-minute tour we’ll hear about the site’s transformation from Aviation Center to Marketplace from Stanley’s Chief Storyteller, Bryant Palmer. The tour will start from inside the southeast entrance, near Denver Biscuit Company.
About the tour: A small group of first-time developers has turned a former aviation manufacturing facility into a dynamic, community-focused urban marketplace featuring 54 independent and locally owned businesses, re-using as much of the original structure as possible. Come explore Stanley!
About the site: In the 1950’s, Stanley Marketplace was Stanley Aviation, a manufacturing plant and the largest employer in the city of Aurora. The area around Stanley was home to Denver Airport’s original runways and testing sites for ejection seats, which were created on-site. – Description courtesy of Stanley Marketplace + Image courtesy of From the Hip Photo
Please note, there is ample on-site surface lot parking. As always, we encourage the use of public transportation, Lyft or Uber. Thank you.
