About the Tour: Be the first to experience the enchantment with a special behind-the-scenes walking tour the night before Camp Christmas opens to the public at Stanley Marketplace. Join us as we take a step into a world of wonder, nostalgia, and pure holiday magic at Camp Christmas, the immersive holiday experience created by local artist Lonnie Hanzon. During this exclusive evening, experience the art and activities around the Marketplace, learn about the inspiration and artistry behind the work, and get free entry to the new Camp Christmas Express, a walk-through tune-up for your holiday spirit.
About Camp Christmas: Camp Christmas originally opened in 2019 at the Stanley Marketplace. Welcoming tens of thousands of visitors, this Denver metro holiday destination was created by Lonnie Hanzon in partnership with DCPA Off-Center. After a pivot to an online experience during the pandemic and a brief detour to Dallas, Camp Christmas is back at Stanley Marketplace in a new form this year. With 3 themed bars, decor throughout the marketplace, and the debut of Camp Christmas Express, the takeover of Stanley Marketplace will showcase the well-loved elements of Camp Christmas in a brand new way this year.
About the Tour Guide: Lonnie Hanzon is the renowned installation artist leading Hanzon Studios, a Colorado-based creative studio specializing in immersive environments, public art, and theatrical experiences. Known for transforming spaces into vibrant, story-rich worlds, Hanzon Studios has created iconic holiday installations for Neiman Marcus, Houston Zoo Lights, and Denver’s Parade of Lights, as well as large-scale public art across Colorado and internationally. With a focus on community engagement, visual storytelling, and experiential design, Hanzon Studios continues to push the boundaries of art and imagination.
Accessibility: The tour and Stanley Marketplace are fully accessible with elevator access to the second and third floors.
