Hard Hat Tour: Zeppelin Station – December 11

December 11, 2017

Join the Denver Architectural Foundation for our December Hard Hat Tours of Zeppelin Station! We are pleased to offer you two opportunities to tour the site on the evening of Monday, December 11, 2017. Please note, there are two 60-minute tours of Zeppelin Station. Register for the 5:15 PM tour HERE – the starting time is reflected in the ticket type. Please email us with any questions.

About the site: Designed by the award-winning Dynia Architects, Zeppelin Station is on track for LEED certification and features indoor-outdoor open spaces, characterized by high ceilings, natural light and native landscaping.

Situated atop a 20,000-square-foot market hall with diverse retail and culinary offerings, the project demonstrates a true sense of community amongst its tenants and the neighborhood.

Inspired by the success of The Source, Zeppelin Station’s ground floor is home to experiential food and beverage concepts such as Vietnamese banh mi, Italian gelato, and Hawaiian poke, all meant to encourage a deeper conversation and connection beyond the typical lunch counter. Above the market hall, three floors of scenic office suites offer roll-up, glass garage doors that pour out onto green terraces overlooking the Denver skyline and majestic Rocky Mountains. These design elements are signatures of Zeppelin Development’s most celebrated projects, including both the workspaces and residences at TAXI.

Zeppelin Station is located in the RiNo (River North) district of Denver, a historically industrial neighborhood with a gritty, urban feel that attracts a diverse community of artists and entrepreneurs. Recently emerging as a hotbed of innovation, the city has committed more than $47 million to infrastructure improvements in the next two years. – Site description courtesy of Zeppelin Development.

Please bring your own PPE (hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses). If you don’t have your own PPE, you may purchase a DAF set. A limited number of loaner PPE sets will be available at the site. Please note, attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and must adhere to the following safety protocol:

  1. Closed-toe sturdy shoes – Tennis shoes, high heels, sandals, flip flops, and fashion boots are not acceptable footwear for the construction site. Boots do not have to be steel toe; they can be hiking boots as long as they are durable and at least ankle high.
  2. Full-length pants or jeans (no shorts, capri pants, skirts, or dresses) – Pants do not have to be jeans but they must be long enough to touch the top of your shoes.
  3. Shirts with minimum four-inch sleeves.

The cost of the tour is as follows:
DAF Member: $30
Non-member: $35
Student: $15
DAF Hard Hat Set: $40

Please find the registration page here. Registration must be completed by Friday, December 8 at 4:00 PM. Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be given only if cancellations are received at least 24 hours before the event.

Space is limited, so register now to ensure a place on the tour! Meeting logistics will be sent the day prior to the tour to those who are registered.

Please note: Zeppelin Station (3501 Wazee Street) is conveniently located across the pedestrian bridge from the 38th / Blake Street light rail station OR two blocks southeast from Brighton Boulevard on 36th Street. The Brighton Boulevard corridor is undergoing abundant construction and street parking is limited. The property should be entered from 36th and Wazee (right next to Bigsby’s Folly and across from Zwickplace) because the fence on the 35th side is usually closed. Please consider taking public transportation, Lyft, or Uber – thank you!
