Lecture Series

Throughout the year, the Denver Architecture Foundation invites local and nationally expert speakers to inspire audiences with their leading scholarship and research. Frequently, these lectures are awarded continuing education credit by the AIA. Past lectures include:

September 2025, Denver Art Museum: Doors Open Denver keynote address by Susannah Drake, FAIA FASLA entitled “The Geophysical City: Exploring the Intersection of Environmental Change, Geology, and Urbanity.” Book signing followed.

September 2025, Walker Art Gallery: Doors Open Denver Author Talk by Sarah Broughton, FAIA and John Rowland entitled “Architecture and Nature in Harmony: The Houses of Rowland and Broughton.” Book signing followed.

September 2025, Workplace Resources: Doors Open Denver expert panel discussion entitled “Speer Reimagined: A New Vision for Mobility, Ecology, and Public Life” with Lilly Djaniants, Peter Park, and David Tryba FAIA.

May 2025, Denver Botanic Gardens: The Alan Golin Gass Annual Lecture by Ron Radziner, FAIA in conversation with Adam Wagoner entitled “Constructing a Career in Architecture: From Prefab to Urban Interventions, and Everything Else in Between.”

September 2024, Denver Art Museum: Doors Open Denver keynote address by Vishaan Chakrabarti, FAIA entitled “The Architecture of Urbanity: Designing for Nature, Culture, and Joy.” Book signing followed.

September 2024, Adorn Objects: Doors Open Denver Author Talk by John Ike entitled “Classical Roots, Contemporary Clients: A Conversation Among Designers” with Adam Wagoner. Book signing followed.
