Recap: Behind the Scenes at History Colorado – Part I – Overview of Architectural Holdings

The Denver Architecture Foundation had the first tour in our NEW behind-the-scenes series with History Colorado. Part I took place on Tuesday, February 16th, at 4:30pm and offered an overview of the museum’s architecture collection.

About the tour: Anna Mascorella, Temple Buell Associate Curator of Architecture, brought participants behind the scenes to view a selection of architectural drawings and artifacts from the History Colorado Collection. Attendees got an overview of History Colorado’s rich architectural holdings, from the drawings of Robert Roeschlaub, Colorado’s first licensed architect, to the design studies of Ron Straka, Denver’s Deputy Director of Urban Design under Mayor Federico Peña.

About the tour guide: Anna Mascorella is the Temple Buell Associate Curator of Architecture at History Colorado. She holds a Ph.D. in the history of architecture and urban development from Cornell University. She has been at History Colorado since 2018.
