Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys Tour

About the tour: Join Director Wendy Littlepage for a unique tour of some of Colorado’s best dollhouse miniatures! Learn about small scale construction, history and tricks of the miniature trade.
About the building: We will be focusing on 3 main houses: The Someday House inspired by a Denver Country Club home built in 1929, The Santa Fe House a 1970s representation of Santa Fe architecture, and the Somewhere In Time Town by Bill Lankford, a 1930s era Main Street Scene. Enjoy additional Dollhouses, Roomboxes, and Toys during your tour including Miss Yokohama, Colorado’s Japanese Friendship Doll (1927).
About the tour guide: Wendy began her Museum career in the mid 1990s as an interpretive artisan in the Wampanoag department at Plimoth Plantation (now Plimoth Pautuxet Museum) teaching visitors about daily life of local Indigenous groups including farming, home building, cooking, and arts. Wendy studied History and Museum studies at Kenyon College. Wendy career includes work in the Greenslade Collections of the Olin Library, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Woodland Park Zoo, and consulting for various organizations.
