Program Description
In 1948, the plans for the expansion of US Highway 85, later to become I-25, contemplated displacing Globeville Road and setting in motion a series of changes over the next 70 years that transfigured North Denver. Since the inception of the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative by the Hancock administration in 2011, communities and agencies have recognized that the six projects are indeed catalysts of redevelopment. This panel will highlight the National Western Center redevelopment and the questions that rise regarding equity, connectivity and urban form.
