Monday, November 7, 2022

About the tour: Join a walking tour of Market Station, a full city block of retail, residential and office space in a bustling area of downtown. Explore the project from a development and architectural perspective, and gain insight into the thoughtful design process. Learn how the project team was inspired by the history of the block when envisioning the brick façade, Arcade and Paseo features. Roger Pecsok, Continuum Partners, and Dennis Gulseth, DGI03, will highlight key elements that set Market Station apart in terms of design, amenities and placemaking.

About the building: Market Station comprises almost an entire city block, bounded by 16th, 17th, Market and Blake Streets. The site was purchased in 2015 from the City of Denver and RTD and was part of Continuum Partners’ involvement as co-master developers of the Union Station Transit Hub and Neighborhood redevelopment. The 370,000 square foot project, developed and delivered as a joint venture with New York-based Clarion Partners, LLC, combines 82,000 square feet of retail, 95,000 square feet of office and 225 residences and a below grade parking garage using innovative mechanical stackers.

About the tour guides: Roger Pecsok, Development Director, Continuum Partners, has coordinated or overseen a wide range of development responsibilities on multiple projects in his more than 20 years with Continuum. He worked extensively on most aspects of the 3.5 million square foot Belmar mixed-use development and provided development oversight for the Art House Condominiums, a complex mixed-use project. Roger currently oversees all development activities of Bradburn, a 120 acre mixed-used project in Westminster, CO.

Dennis Gulseth, Principal, DGI03, transforms clients’ visions into high quality architecture and interiors. As a leader in the architecture industry, he has a unique ability to translate a wide range of program requirements into practical design solutions which are both creative and technically sound. Local, notable projects include the Born Hotel and office complex and Market Station.

Accessibility: This 90-minute walking tour will have limited opportunities for seated rest.
