Denver After Dark: Meow Wolf
January 8, 2024
About the tour: Come see the ever-changing colors that illuminate the Meow Wolf Denver building, transforming it into an epic landmark in the Colorado nighttime sky! Starting with the outside of the building and moving into the lobby, our tour guides will share the development, architectural, and lighting design choices that were required to make Meow Wolf what it is today. The finished design has turned the Convergence Station into an incredible area landmark that reflects its ethos as a space where people and art converge.
The tour ticket price includes the cost of admission into the Meow Wolf exhibit. After the tour, you are free to continue exploring on your own time. Re-entry into the exhibit is not permitted.
About the building: Meow Wolf Denver is a 95,000 square foot structure that is home to one of the most ambitious immersive art experiences ever created in the United States. The 5-story building includes 4 floors of interactive exhibits, a café, a retail space, and a 450-person live performance venue.
About the tour guides: Kate Cullen founded Cullen Lighting Studio in 2014. She is an award-winning architectural lighting designer based out of Superior, Colorado. Her multi-disciplinary design background and her seasoned lighting acumen gives her an advantage to see projects in ways that others typically do not by emphasizing how architecture & interior design can be woven together flawlessly with the aid of lighting with a balance of aesthetics and functionality. Her work showcases light that complements a space rather than controlling it.
Dan Craig is a Principal at SAR+ Architecture. He has been practicing architecture in Denver for eighteen years and has a diverse background in project type and scale. Over the years, Dan has been fortunate to be a leading creative voice on a number of great educational and cultural projects in the Denver area, including roles at the Denver Botanic Gardens, The DU Burwell Center for Career Achievement, Meow Wolf, and Colorado Academy’s Performing Arts Theater and Athletic Center.
Accessibility Information: The Meow Wolf exhibition meets ADA standards and is accessible and navigable by crutches, walkers, wheelchairs and scooters. All floors are accessible via elevator.
