NEW PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 📸 The Denver Architecture NEW PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 📸 The Denver Architecture Foundation’s Visions of Denver Architecture Photography Contest is now open! The contest celebrates Doors Open Denver: Destination Downtown, a citywide exploration of the architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, and public spaces that shape Denver. This year’s program will spotlight downtown Denver’s remarkable renaissance—from the transformation of the 16th Street corridor and the revitalization of historic landmarks to the bold new ideas and contemporary design redefining the urban core. Photographers of all skill levels are invited to capture the buildings, spaces, and design details that define our city. Entries may include black-and-white or color photography, exteriors, interiors, landscape architecture, and architectural details. Acclaimed professional design and fine art photographer Emily Minton Redfield will serve as juror to select winners among five categories as well as a thirty-image online showcase. The selected artworks will be featured at an exhibition on the closing day of Doors Open Denver, on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Learn more and submit your entry today at denverarchitecture.org. Once home to the oldest summer stock theatre in America, Elitch Theatre hosted the state’s first moving picture in 1896 and delighted Denver audiences until its last production in 1991. Legendary performers in theater, film, and television have passed through this iconic American playhouse, including Douglas Fairbanks, Grace Kelly, Edward G. Robinson, Cecil B.
