Recap: Mansions of Capitol Hill Walking Tour
We brought back one of our most beloved walking tours in-person, the Mansions of Capitol Hill with author and architectural historian Amy Zimmer. This tour had a limited eight-person capacity and was offered THREE TIMES – Wednesday, August 19th, 4:30-5:30pm, Saturday, August 22nd, 10-11am and Wednesday, August 26th, 4:30-5:30pm.
About the tour: At the turn of the last century Capitol Hill boasted some of the West’s finest mansions. We explored the blocks near the State Capitol, discovering some of the architectural gems that remain – as well as those that were lost – and learned about how surviving mansions have found new uses.
