Colorado Convention Center | DOD 2026 Insider Tour
September 26, 2026
About the tour: Join DAF and the team at the Colorado Convention Center for a behind the scenes tour showcasing what it takes to build and maintain a building that hosts nearly 500,000 people annually. The tour will include a stop at the BellCo Theatre. Special topics will include the Center’s 3 expansions and its sustainability efforts.
About the building: Opened in 1990, with more than 100 professional meeting planners working together with architects to design every aspect of the building, the result was simple; a sensible, state-of-the-art facility with easy traffic flow to a stunningly beautiful building in the heart of downtown Denver. Expanded in 2005, and again in 2024 the Colorado Convention Center is well known as one of the most practical and “user-friendly” meeting facilities in the country
About the tour guide: Rich Carrollo is the Director of Sales and Services for the Colorado Convention Center. He has 36 years of industry experience with Destination Marketing Organizations and Venues, including 14 years at the Colorado Convention Center.
Accessibility: This tour is fully accessible with escalators and elevators available when moving between floors. There may be limited opportunities for seated rest when visiting the theatre and other rooms.
Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 14 days prior to the event.
Please note that DAF tours take place rain, snow or shine. If your tour includes an outdoor portion, please dress for the weather. DAF staff will contact all attendees directly should a tour be cancelled for any reason.
