Community College of Denver: Architectural Technologies | DOD 2026 Insider Tour

About the tour: Join Community College of Denver’s (CCD) Innovation Coordinator for a behind the scenes look of their Architectural Technology Department. This program is a community focused design program that provides a springboard into an architectural career. Featured stops include the Studio and the Innovation Lab, where attendees can see design tools and practices first hand while learning about emerging technology in the field.

About the building: The Cherry Creek building on CCD’s campus was originally known as the South building and redesigned by OZ Architecture to bring it into the modern era. Building updates created important community spaces on campus for students, simplified wayfinding, and added a dynamic cafe and outdoor space for students. The Cherry Creek building is home to the Studio and the Innovation Lab used by the Architecture Technologies program.

About the tour guide: Kelley Schweissing is the Innovation Lab Coordinator at Community College of Denver and played an instrumental role in bringing the pilot Gateway to Architecture high school education program to life this year with the Denver Architecture Foundation.

Accessibility: The Cherry Creek Building is fully ADA accessible.
