About the tour: This is a members only tour in partnership with Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Rocky Mountain Chapter. The walking tour of Denargo Market will guide guests through the district highlighting key design elements, amenities, and features that align with Denargo Market’s intent to become a vibrant mixed-used district.

About Denargo Market: Denargo Market is a 13-acre mixed-use infill development north of downtown Denver, within the River North Arts District (RiNo). The project celebrates the former industrial character of the neighborhood while accepting the South Platte River as its front door. The project delivered the infrastructure and public realm in Summer of 2025, with planned development of building parcels to follow later. The public realm is anchored with iconic public elements and flexible plazas, lawns, and promenades.

About the tour guides: Darcie Chinnis | Darcie has a strong background in combining humanity, engineering, construction, art, and energy. She has worked on multiple LEED certified projects with extensive working experience in daylighting, lighting controls, energy codes, and light pollution. She particularly enjoys projects focusing on the user experience that evoke an emotion, tell a story, or meet a special visual need. She was the first Leader of Sustainability when HLB formed its Daylighting and Sustainable Design studio. Darcie is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction, an active member of Illumination Engineering Society, and prior Board of Directors for the International Dark-Sky Association.

Booker Tieszen | Booker is a Landscape Architect at Sasaki and was involved from concept design to construction administration of Denargo Market. Booker finds design inspiration from the natural environment and enjoys the collaborative process that brings a district like Denargo Market to life.

Accessibility: The site is fully accessible and relatively flat. The walking path is not expected to be strenuous; however, the planned tour route will result in about .5-.75 miles of walking. Due to the nature of Colorado in January, guests should expect winter weather conditions and come prepared with appropriate footwear and outerwear.

Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 48 days prior to the event.

Please note that DAF tours take place rain, snow or shine. If your tour includes an outdoor portion, please dress for the weather. DAF staff will contact all attendees directly should a tour be cancelled for any reason.
