About the tour: Join the Denver Architecture Foundation and the Denver Design District for an exclusive guided walking tour exploring one of Denver’s most dynamic and evolving creative corridors. Beginning at Rebel Bread, guests will experience an immersive journey through the Denver Design District — a neighborhood where architecture, public art, interiors, adaptive reuse, and creative commerce intersect. Along the way, attendees will hear the story behind the District’s evolution, its role in the Rocky Mountain region’s design landscape, and the vision shaping its future.

The tour will include curated stops throughout the District, including a visit to Herbert Bayer’s iconic “Articulated Wall” sculpture, conversations around urban placemaking and experiential retail environments, and insight into the District as a regional hub for design, culture, and innovation. The experience concludes inside the Phillip Jeffries Showroom at the Denver Design Center, one of the industry’s leading luxury wallcovering brands.

About the Denver Design District: The showroom destination was originally born in 1985 as the Denver Design Center. The present owners purchased the DDC in 1996 with a mission of expanding the Center and creating a synergy of design resources. In the fall of 2004, a group of showrooms along Center Ave. was purchased.

The Center’s name changed to the “Denver Design District” to better characterize the extensive offerings available including new retail/wholesale showrooms and expanded kitchen and bath showrooms.

The Denver Design District is comprised of 44 beautifully curated showrooms and is recognized throughout the Rocky Mountain West as the premier resource for fine furnishings and materials for both residential and commercial applications. They represent 300 design professionals and over 1,400 manufacturers all in one location.

About the tour guide: Dan Cohen is the Principal and CEO of D4 Urban and its affiliate property management entity, CFPM LLC. Mr. Cohen is responsible for the strategic vision, management, and execution of development activities, asset management, and property management across the D4 Urban portfolio. Completed projects with D4 Urban include the award-winning Dakota Outfall Project public private partnership, the LEED Platinum Denizen multifamily community, the redevelopment of the former RTD Bus Barn site, and ongoing management and development of the flagship Broadway Park development.
