Exploring Urban Space Reimagined
June 26, 2025
About the Lecture: Join the Rocky Mountain Harvard University Club for a unique architectural exhibition created by GSD alumnus Alex Yueyan Li (March ’21) – Assistant Professor of Architecture at CU Denver and Co-Principal of 11×17, a design practice based in Denver and Toronto. Denver Architecture Foundation members get special access to this exciting exhibition.
This innovative exhibit focuses on repurposing urban spaces and is held in a former pizza shop (Pizza Locale), now transformed into a seasonal art gallery. Commissioned by the Architectural League of New York, and in collaboration with the Denver Art Museum and Continuum Partners (whose mission is to create human habitats of extraordinary character and enduring value), the project offers a compelling vision for reactivating vacant urban environments.
Professor Li will lead a short talk about the design approach, collaborations, and the conceptual framework behind the exhibition.Attendees will also enjoy snacks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic refreshments during the evening.
