About the tour: The tour of Lumina apartments/mixed use development will be an informal conversation on the project parameters for design, the unique site conditions, the solution set and what it is like to live there.

About the building: Lumina is a five-story mixed use building with I-25 immediately to the east and the lower Highland neighborhood immediately to the west. The building hosts 61 units, three ground level retail spaces, two levels of underground parking and various outdoor spaces throughout the project. Over 500 operable aluminum screens distinguish the building’s exterior and serve the purpose of shading device, geometric shadow maker and are responsible for making Lumina an iconic Denver building.

About the tour guides: Michael Moore is an artist who has chosen architecture as his primary medium, founding Tres Birds in 2000. Michael’s career formally began at the University of California at Berkeley where he studied both Environmental Biology and Fine Art. With a desire to merge both ecological systems science and modern design principles, he completed a Masters in Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver.

Edee Anesi worked in L.A. and London as an art consultant with a focus on Contemporary Art from Iran and the Arab World before moving to Denver in 2009. Upon arriving in Denver she opened a pop up gallery featuring her private collection, while also working on her real estate development ambitions. She holds an Art History degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and multiple certificates from NYU and Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, including but not limited to Art Business, Asset Management, Construction Management and Fine Art Appraisal. Inspired by her travels and art background, Edee was instrumental in the design and development of Lumina, which she and her father, Greg Anesi, developed in 2013.
