Mid-Century Modern Trivia Night at La Vista Motel | DOD 2026

About the event: Think you know your Eames from your Eichlers? Put your mid-century modern knowledge to the test during a lively trivia event celebrating the architects, designers, buildings, and furnishings that shaped one of history’s most enduring design movements. Teams of up to four people will compete for design-themed prizes during this fun quiz event at the newly renovated La Vista Motel on Colfax Avenue. Come as a team, or come solo and we’ll match you with fellow design enthusiasts. Doors open at 7:30pm with the game starting promptly at 8pm. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
About the hosts: The event will be led by Jenna McKnight and Brian Corrigan. Jenna is a renowned design journalist and author of the new book, Design: Mid-Century Modern. Signed copies will be available for purchase. Brian is the Chief Experience Officer of Farm-to-Spaceship, a Colorado-based design consultancy focused on innovative storytelling and placemaking solutions.
About La Vista Motel: Get immersed in the mid-century modern era! Originally built in 1956 during the hey-day of car travel, the La Vista Motel thrived for decades but fell into disrepair by the 20th century. It recently underwent an impeccable restoration by St. Bernard Properties, Sopher Sparn Architects, and Xan Creative. The motel has been attracting locals and tourists alike since its grand reopening in 2025. Trivia night will be held in the lower-level event space, which features wood-panel walls and cozy mid-century decor.
Accessibility: This event will take place in the downstairs lounge and will require the use of stairs to access.
Refund policy: The Denver Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization. Ticket sales support the Foundation in continuing to provide quality events to the public. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for any reason less than 14 days prior to the event.
